There is an opportunity to become a committee member of the Brentwood Arts Council and play a key role in the cultural life of our locality. There are two vacancies, one for secretary and one for treasurer. The committee of Brentwood Arts Council is a friendly group of people who meet quarterly to discuss how the organisation can support and facilitate activities for local clubs and societies in the area. There is also an Annual General Meeting held in May, in the Brentwood Borough Council chambers, attended by the President of Brentwood Arts Council, Lord Petre. The secretary is required to take and publish the minutes of the meetings; the treasurer is responsible for the organisation’s accounts and for collecting members’ subscriptions. The posts are voluntary and neither are onerous or too time consuming. If you are interested, please contact the Chairman, Glenda Abbott Tel: 01277 219786 or by email glendaabbott@hotmail.com
